Nassau Physical Therapy – Team Bio

Shay Marino joined Nassau Physical Therapy, her husband’s private practice, in 1998 at the insistence of their accountant to "learn the business". Gradually learning the many different aspects of being a business owner and assuming greater responsibility she became the full time office manager in 2000.  Even though not involved directly in patient care, patient contact is a top priority.  Shay bridges the gap between office management, front desk and with therapists to ultimately promote overall outstanding service, quality care and high patient satisfaction.

Shay was born and raised in Kansas where she graduated from Newman Hospital School of Nursing in 1974. She worked as an RN for 25 years before joining Nassau Physical Therapy. Shay and Jim relocated from Pennsylvania to Fernandina in 1988. They have three children, Jesse 24, Jacky 22 and Jenna 21. 

"My work at Nassau Physical Therapy has impacted my personal life by realizing the importance of taking good care of my body, mind and soul", said Shay.  She accomplishes this by working out at a local gym, cooking, entertaining, reading, traveling, attending St. Micheals Parish and spending time with her children, family and friends.

Shay states, "My goal is to continue to assure the ongoing and lasting success of Nassau Physical Therapy by remaining in the forefront of providing outstanding service and high quality Physical Therapy".
